Kutaisi, Tbilisi or Batumi? Which Georgian Airport Is Cheapest from the UK
Kutaisi had the lowest fares from London, from £58, but Tbilisi had fares on almost every day and a nonstop option. Here is how the three airports compare.

Georgia has three international airports that matter for a trip from the UK: Tbilisi, the capital; Kutaisi, in the west; and Batumi, on the Black Sea coast. The cheapest one depends on whether you want the lowest possible fare or the most choice of dates. We compared the fares we track on November 4, 2026, for departures from November 2026 to January 2027.
The lowest fares we found
From London, one-way:
- Kutaisi: £58, departing November 23, from Stansted with one stop
- Tbilisi: £62, departing January 6, from Southend with one stop
- Batumi: £124, departing January 30, with two stops
From Edinburgh, Tbilisi fares started at £72 (November 10), but there were fares on only 14 of the 89 days.
Cheapest fare versus choice of dates
The single cheapest fare is not the whole story. For departures from November 4, 2026 to January 31, 2027, this is how many days had a fare and the typical (median) one-way price from London:
- Tbilisi: fares on 81 of the 89 days. Typical fare £119 in November, £124 in December and £88 in January.
- Kutaisi: fares on 29 days. Typical fare £80 in November, £75 in December and £67 in January.
- Batumi: fares on 20 days. Typical fare £148 in November, £165 in December and £129 in January.
So Kutaisi is usually the cheaper airport, as long as your dates match one of its flights. If your dates are fixed, Tbilisi is the safer bet, because there is a fare almost every day. All three were cheapest in January.
Nonstop or one stop?
Most of the cheapest fares to Georgia have one stop. The exception in our data is Tbilisi: the cheapest nonstop fare was £128, on easyJet from Luton, for late February. We found no nonstop fares to Kutaisi or Batumi in recent searches, so plan for a connection there.
Getting between them
Kutaisi is roughly a four-hour drive west of Tbilisi, and Batumi is on the coast further west again. A cheap flight into Kutaisi can still be the best deal for a Tbilisi trip, but add the bus or transfer to your budget. Flying into one airport and out of another is also worth checking if you plan to cross the country.
Which should you pick?
- Lowest price, flexible dates: look at Kutaisi first.
- Fixed dates or a nonstop flight: Tbilisi.
- A beach trip: Batumi, but expect to pay more in the winter months.
You can compare all three on our Georgia page, which ranks the cities and UK airports by the latest fares, or check each route's calendar for the cheapest days.
How we measured it
We used the cheapest cached one-way fare for each departure day on each route, from recent searches on our travel partner Aviasales, collected on November 4, 2026. Nonstop prices come from the same searches filtered to direct flights. Prices change constantly, so treat these as a snapshot rather than a promise, and confirm the final fare before you book.
